I have another question :D. Today, it's about the azure package "DNNAzure Single and ExtraSmall". What is the behavior if I start 2 instances ? The VHD image can't be mount on 2 instances, so... how does the second instance works ? I'm just curious. :)

Thanks again (David ? ^^)

PS: I can't check on the instances 'cause I don't have the certificate to access them.

With the DNN Single and ExtraSmall, the instance "0" assumes the rol of the SMB Server, mounting and sharing the VHD. Also this instance will serve the content of the CMS. The second, third, etc. instance will connect to the drive shared by instance "0".

In order to connect via RDP, please read the document "Enabling RDP" that is available for download for more instructions.

Sorry for the delay, but I can't connect to RDP to the "DNN Single and ExtraSmall" if I can't access to the source code ? I can't generate a certificate.

Hi agai

The response is yes, you need a certificate in order to connect via RDP. This is an Azure Platform requisite concerning security.

There are different methods of generating the certificate (i.e. using the makecert.exe utility on a command promt, I wrote a post here time ago http://davidjrh.blogspot.com/2010/10/como-crear-un-certificado-x509-para-tu.html). That certificate is needed in the package to store the RDP user password encrypted in the service configuration file, so the simpliest method to do the two things in the same step is using the steps described in the document.

You can download Visual Studio Express for free here for that work http://www.microsoft.com/express

Hope this helps.
