Location contraint is not valid exception

Dec 9, 2012 at 5:35 PM

I get an error when running the DotNetNuke Accelerator 6.3 for Azure. I am trying to create a new service name from the "New hosted service..." dialog box. The error dialog box is titled "An exception ocurred"  - occurred is misspelled. The message is "The location constraint is not valid". The options on the location drop down list are: North Central US, South Central US, North Europe, West Europe, East Asia and Southeast Asia. I am selecting North Central US, which should be best for me, but it doesn't accept this value.

When I go to the new Azure management console and try to create a quick website the Region drop down values are: East US, West US, East Asia, West Europe and North Europe.

Are the location and region lists supposed to be the same values. Did they get changed when Microsoft moved from the previous portal to the new portal. Maybe it is something I am doing wrong since I am new, my trial expired, and I haven't got anything running yet.

Thanks

Hi @darold,

This is because an issue in your Windows Azure subscription, and you should contact Microsoft Support to enable all the DC locations. Check this thread in the issue tracker talking about this:

P.S. The typo has been fixed, thanks!
